About the DCCC:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. Position Summary:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is hiring a National Field Director for the 2019-2020 campaign cycle. The National Field Director is responsible for the planning and execution of the National Field Program. This person will develop the overall program strategy, oversee its execution, and manage the field budget. This person is also responsible for the programmatic and data-driven components of the National Field Program and the overall progress to goals.
The National Field Director reports to the Deputy Executive Director and will work with other department directors to ensure top-notch execution of the program. In particular, the National Field Director will work closely with the Targeting and Analytics Department to ensure the necessary data is incorporated into the program.
The Field Director manages all positions in the Field Department.
The National Field Director must have strong leadership skills and the ability to run a large scale field operation. This person must have spent at least two cycles managing a field program, must have strong familiarity with congressional campaigns, and must have experience with management and budgeting. In addition, the National Field Director must have experience with vote by mail, online organizing, early vote and a strong Election Day GOTV skill set. The National Field Director will be responsible for field staff recruitment, staff training, field strategic planning, developing voter registration and voter contract programs.
This position will be based in Washington, DC. Travel will be required.
