Position: Email Production Manager
Reports To: Digital Fundraising Director
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and incumbent Democratic Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing more Democrats and protecting the House majority.
Position Summary: The Email Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment of supporter emails; developing cross-platform and mobile-optimized emails and web content; and creating innovative tests to increase conversion rates.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing sending of emails to the DCCC's grassroots email list
- Ensuring that all messages are held to stringent standards of grammar, accuracy, functioning links, etc.
- Creating A/B tests and analyzing results to increase effectiveness and conversion rates
- Developing cross-platform and mobile-optimized emails, donation forms, landing pages, and other web content
- Designing microsites to recruit new supporters, generate media coverage, and hold Republicans accountable
- Maintaining strong email deliverability and deliverability analytics Contributing to DCCC's email fundraising strategy and the email copy writing process
- Staying abreast of current technology and seeking new ways to utilize new technology
- Other duties required
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HTML, CSS, and responsive design knowledge and/or other front-end development experience
- Well-versed in Photoshop
- Email production experience, preferably for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or nonprofit
- Experience working with Silverpop/IBM Watson Campaign Automation, Blue State Digital or a similar eCRM
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Availability during evening and weekend hours; ability to work under tight deadlines
- Commitment to the election of Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives
