Georgia Shift is seeking a full-time Program Manager with a commitment to long-term organizing and increasing youth participation in elections to assist our civic engagement, leadership development, and issue organizing programs. The Program Manager will also represent Georgia Shift in various progressive coalitions and collaborate regularly with partner organizations.

Georgia Shift is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with an affiliated 501(c)4 organization, GS Action.
Responsibilities
- Management (65%)
- Develop and implement Voter Registration and GOTV strategies with an emphasis on 18 to
- 24-year old young voters of color to meet and/or exceed program deliverables.
- Lead Fellowship Program implementation; including but not limited to recruitment curriculum monitoring, event planning for Fellowship weekends.
- Plan and execute leadership development events/trainings for temporary staff, volunteers and/or Fellows.
- Monitoring and tracking programmatic budgets
- Daily and weekly reporting to track completion dates, progress to goals and program milestones.
- Community Organizing (25%)
- Develop strategic engagement plans using unique on-the-ground knowledge to create a sustainable volunteer recruitment pipeline and build Georgia Shift base.
- Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, data entry.
- Identify and cultivate community and campus leaders.
- Quality Control (10%)
- Ensure security and quality control of voter applications in accordance with state and funder guidelines.
- At least 1 - 2 years of community organizing experience
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for, and experience with, engaging people face-to-face on campuses, in the community, through tabling, meetings, and other grassroots tactics.
- Ability to work with communities of color, low-income communities, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
- Aptitude to maintain relationships through clear, professional communications with follow-through and responsiveness.
- Ability to travel within Georgia and work non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license is required
This is a full-time, permanent position based out of Augusta, reporting to the Executive Director. Georgia Shift provides medical and dental coverage with paid sick and vacation time, along with a professional development budget. Salary is $35,000 - $40,000, commensurate with experience.
