The Office of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (MN-05) is seeking a talented, creative and motivated Press Secretary/Digital Director. Candidates will ideally have at least 2-3 years of digital or press experience, preferably on a campaign or on Capitol Hill. Responsibilities include scheduling content for social media, editing videos for the Congresswoman's social media platforms, managing the website, responding to local press inquiries, and drafting press statements. Applicants should share the Congresswoman's progressive values, be highly organized , possess a strong work ethic, have the ability to work flexible hours. Strong writing skills, experience designing graphics, editing photos and editing video are required. This position will report to the Communications Director/Strategist and assist with communications responsibilities as needed.
