BOSTON AREA, MA -- Progressive Democratic Congressional Primary challenger is seeking an experienced finance director for the 2020 cycle.
Campaign has cash on hand in six figures. Candidate has national profile, extensive & valuable relationships across tech industry, social media following in the tens of thousands, and extensive media experience from features in Huffington Post, Boston Globe, New York Times, etc. The candidate is challenging an incumbent in the Democratic primary in 2020.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a finance plan for the campaign
• Manage call time for the candidate
• Research, obtain, and compile donor lists to grow the candidate's network
• Manage and implement digital fundraising, including email and social media
• Schedule and execute fundraising events within and out of the district
Experience & Skills:
• At least 1 cycle of finance director experience
• Experience with Boston and eastern Massachusetts Democratic politics preferred
• Previous experience in competitive Democratic primaries
• Comfort in a fast-paced work environment and ready and willing to solve unforeseen challenges with speed and efficiency.
• Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, work well under tight deadlines
• Strong writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency using NGP, VAN, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, email marketing and website management tools
Start Date: February 2019
Position Type: Full-time, must be willing to relocate to Massachusetts
Salary: Competitive monthly rate commensurate with experience
