Synergetic Endeavors, a Saint Paul-based public affairs firm specializing in Political Advocacy, Community Affairs, Public Relations, and National Convention & Event Planning has an opening for a Development Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented individual with an interest in the political process and looking to gain experience in the private sector.

 
We are proud to represent a diverse client base, which includes major corporations, non-profit organizations, trade associations, issue-based coalitions, mid-sized businesses, and large national conventions. Our development coordinator will work directly with the Director of External Affairs on a variety of exciting projects including national advocacy initiatives, transformational urban development projects, and major national conventions and events.


The ideal candidate will have:


·         Good written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills with superb attention to detail.


·         The ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities and work independently on projects from conception to completion.

 

·         The ability to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

 

·         Experience completing a broad variety of administrative tasks for an executive.

 

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Strong experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint preferred)

 

·         Minimum of six months experience in the field or in a related area.

 

·         Experience with scheduling and calendar management, drafting correspondence, and travel coordination strongly preferred.

 

·         Excellent relationship-building skills and an ability to be positive and driven in an intense, fast-paced work environment.

 

·         Attention to detail is a must. In addition, candidates for this position should have a commitment to quality work product and the ability to provide excellent follow-through.

 

Position Description and Duties

 

Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively. This position will primarily support the Director of External Affairs on client-related issues, but will also provide additional administrative and logistics support throughout the office, including:

 

         Staff and track outreach by Client principals as well as Synergetic Endeavors leadership.

 

         Maintain and update outreach databases, call lists, and other tracking documents.

 

         Manage appropriate follow up for prospects (Thank you notes, follow up e-mails, etc.)

 

         Draft reports for Synergetic Endeavors client projects as well as produce additional written content as needed including company profiles, draft proposals, bios, advance briefings, and other items.

 

         Apply due diligence to ensure that all documentation is correctly prepared (reports, creating presentations, reconciling expenses, correspondence/communications, spreadsheets, etc.)

 

         Assist with scheduling and logistics of executive-level meetings in the Twin Cities as well as throughout the country, including drafting agendas, taking notes/minutes, briefing book preparation, arranging complex and detailed travel plans, research, etc.

 

         Perform general administrative tasks, including mailings, filing, database updates, printing, and other daily office duties.

 

         Assemble media and donor kits for events and meetings.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
