Berger Hirschberg Strategies is a fast-paced, Democratic fundraising firm that handles a variety of clients including non-profit organizations, governors, members of Congress, senators, PACs, and candidates for other offices. This internship provides a hands-on experience in the field of fundraising and is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door in any part of the political world. The internship will take place May-August.
Duties include:
• Researching and arranging meetings with donors and clients.
• Database management in NGP VAN, Excel, and Google docs.
• Event coordination: calling venues, writing and distributing invitations, and preparing briefings for clients.
• Assistance with administrative tasks: filing documents, answering the phone, event prep, and keeping the office running smoothly.
Who we are looking for:
• Candidates should be hard working, organized, able to multitask, work independently, and have a sense of humor.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and databases are a plus.
• Students who are interested in pursuing a career in politics or fundraising. You will be going to events with some of the most influential people in Washington so this is a great networking experience!
