About the Opportunity

BerlinRosen's National Public Affairs division is seeking a strategic, talented and committed individual to serve as its next Senior Account Executive. Our team works with labor unions, civil rights and racial equity groups focused on the intersection of racial and economic justice. We help our clients improve the lives of working people, raise wages, address inequality in our economy and political system and hold some of the country's largest corporations accountable to workers and communities.

The position is ideal for candidates with at least four years of relevant experience in progressive politics, strategic communications, media relations, advocacy, journalism, or a related field.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with colleagues to implement strategy and campaign planning for multiple client accounts
  • Engagingwith key reporters
  • Writing and editing persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos, and communications plans
  • Creating compelling digital content.

Professional requirements include:

  • Knowledge of the current media landscape and a strong news sense
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including a proven ability to produce sharp, engaging written content
  • Experience writing for the web (website copy, social media posts, articles etc.)
  • Experience engaging with members of the media for both rapid response and long lead stories
  • Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail
  • A knack for problem-solving under pressure
  • The ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • A deep level of personal commitment to social justice, especially to advancing racial and gender equity and to reducing inequality
  • Someone who enjoys working in a team environment that fosters staff growth
  • A sense of humor!
