The Voting Rights Lab is hiring a Director of Law & Policy and multiple Legislative Counsel positions to join our rapidly scaling organization. We are a fully remote organization so the positions could be based anywhere.
This Director role is a full-time, remote position with full benefits. The salary range is $125-150k annually depending on experience. Legislative Counsel roles are 6-month contracts for $6.4-8k/month. We strongly encourage applications from people of color, women and non-binary folks, LGBTQI+, as well as formerly incarcerated individuals.
A bit about us: The Voting Rights Lab is a campaign hub designed to supercharge the fight against voter suppression and build more equitable voting systems. In partnership with organizations across the country, we work to build winning state-level campaigns to secure, protect, and defend the voting rights of all Americans.
Between now and 2020, the Lab will:
- Fight voter suppression, particularly attacks against people of color, students, and working people, through strategic, winnable state legislative and ballot initiative campaigns in critical, battleground states.
- Preempt further attacks including automatic voter purges, voter ID, and cuts to early voting through early warning systems designed to detect, monitor, and address voter suppression efforts in real time.
- Expand participation in our democracy and proactively transform our election systems through the adoption of vote-by-mail, early-vote, and the restoration of voting rights to returning citizens.
