A top-tier Democratic State Senate race in Virginia is seeking a motivated, hard-working Finance Director to start immediately.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Finance Director will report directly to the Campaign Manager and will be responsible for a number of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Building and executing the Finance Plan
- Create systems for all aspects of fundraising with a focus on candidate call time
- Track progress of program, and produce regular reports for candidate and staff
- Utilize metrics to continually improve the effectiveness of the fundraising plan
- Identify new donor prospects and cultivate current supporters with the aim of increasing the number and size of individual gifts
- Plan and oversee all fundraising events
- Prepare thank you letters, event invitations, and other mail solicitations
- Helping with other aspects of the campaign as necessary
REQUIRED:
- Previous campaign fundraising experience
- Strong knowledge of NGP
- Ability to work long and irregular hours
- Attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Passion for electing Democrats
