Democracy First Colorado is hiring highly motivated Field Organizers in El Paso County to defend sitting Democratic legislators against the anti-democratic recall efforts.
After the disgraceful and failed attempt to recall State Rep. Tom Sullivan, extremist fringe groups are now turning their attention to other Democratic state senators and representatives in an attempt to steal the progressive majority.
Responsibilities will Include:
Engaging with the voters in El Paso County to inform them of the legislative track record of their Democratic state legislators and persuading them to refuse to sign a recall petition against them.
Reporting to the Canvass Director qualitative and quantitative data pertaining to the conversations with voters in the field.
Other duties as needed to protect sitting Democratic legislators.
Qualifications:
Some experience in political canvassing and organizing.
Access to a functioning smart-phone.
Access to a functioning vehicle a plus.
Experience in Colorado politics, particularly at the local level, a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
$20 per hour, 6 hour shifts. Up to 6 shifts per week on a flexible work schedule. Minimum of 2 shifts per week required.
Transportation and gas stipends provided.
