Position Summary
Congressional campaign in Missouri is currently seeking a dynamic campaign manager to help flip a district blue.
DCCC places the race as solidly Republican, but there's promising data from the 2018 cycle to suggest this district is flippable. Ideal candidate will be willing to take on the challenge against a tea party incumbent who continues to peddle in birtherism, climate denial, and discrimination against our LGBTQ+ community.
This will be a hard, but righteous fight.
Duties
· Manage the execution of the campaign strategy, plan, and budget that center on a robust data-backed, people-powered grassroots campaign.
· Oversees daily operations of the campaign (finance, press, field, research, new media, scheduling, event planning, and compliance), including logistics and management of the candidate's schedule.
· Develop a budget, track cash flow, and ensure campaign is staying on budget.
· Build and maintain relationships with local Democratic elected officials, party leaders, grassroots activists and volunteers.
· Work with candidate and consultants to create compelling mail, TV ads, and digital creative.
· Recruit, hire and manage outstanding volunteers and staff.
· Assist finance team and Treasurer with FEC reporting and compliance.
Required Skills
· One cycle of campaign experience required. Two cycles desired. Ideally, one cycle will have consisted of work as a campaign manager or a combination of prior field, finance, and communications experience.
· Experience in multiple facets of a campaign including field and communications.
· Willingness to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends.
· Knowledge of NGP VAN, VoterBuilder and voter targeting is desirable.
· Superior project and people management skills.
· Ability to problem-solve independently and take creative approaches to meeting goals.
· Strong interpersonal communications skills and possess the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
· Must be well-organized, professional, and punctual.
· Able to function well in high-stress situations.
· Willing to relocate to Missouri and have means of reliable transportation.
Compensation
Competitive for a congressional campaign and will be commensurate with prior experience.
