Active New Jersey Congressman seeks District Director to oversee operations, including constituent services and outreach, directing staff across two district offices. This individual will act as the Congressman's primary district liaison to government, constituent, community, and stakeholder groups, and local elected officials; represent the Congressman at local events; and plan, assign, and execute constituent outreach events, working closely with communications staff and the Chief of Staff.
The District Director will oversee strategic work on local projects and initiatives, in addition to providing oversight of casework and constituent services issues. Frequent travel throughout the district is required. Position requires work on nights and weekends.
Candidates should have excellent oral and written skills, past management experience, and a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and short deadlines simultaneously. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working for a federal, state, or local official. Knowledge of New Jersey political landscape preferred.
