The Chicagoland Operators Joint Labor-Management PAC is a collaboration between International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 and the Contractors within our industry. Our organization has been and continues to be very politically involved within our jurisdiction- Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa. We have opportunities for individuals who are looking to get involved in the labor movement through electoral politics. We are nonpartisan in our affiliation but are staunchly pro-labor, so this is a perfect opportunity for aspiring politicos to get their feet wet in the political process.
We are looking for Field Organizers to assist our field program for the 2020 cycle. We are one of the most politically active and well-funded organizations in the region so if you live in N.E. Iowa, Northern Illinois, Chicagoland, or NW Indiana we will more than likely be working on a campaign near you. We work campaigns from every level of government so we should be able to help find a campaign that works for you. Schedules are flexible and pay starts at $15/hr.
Qualifications
*Support Organized Labor and Working People
*Access to reliable transportation
*Ability to walk for more than four hours at a time.
*Responsible and the ability to work unsupervised.
*Should be able to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
*Strong Oral Communication Skills
*Knowledge of Google Suite, Mircosoft Suite, VAN, MiniVAN, and the NGP suite a plus
