About the DCCC: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio, digital, and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and protecting the House majority. 


Position Summary: The Executive Director is responsible for directing the DCCC in a manner consistent with the vision of the Committee Chair and the Democratic Caucus.  In order to do this, the Executive Director sets organization goals with both a short and long-term view, provides organizational leadership and works with senior staff to develop and implement a cycle strategy designed to meet the Committee goals of protecting and expanding the Democratic Majority in the House of Representatives 


Responsibilities Include: 

  • Overall leadership of the staff, in conjunction with the senior leadership team, to develop and implement short and long range plans and policies and other activities, while building a strong, collaborative, internal culture; 
  • In collaboration with the DCCC Chair, develop and implement a strategic plan to expand and protect the House majority; 
  • Provide information, advice, and counsel to the DCCC Chair in the creation of policies, programs, and strategic direction of the committee; 
  • Work with the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer to oversee the financial management and health of the committee; 
  • Facilitate hiring practices that ensure a robust pipeline of qualified diverse candidates consistent with the DCCC's commitment to equal opportunity and reflecting the diversity of our party and country;
  • Ensure the committee and its mission are consistently presented by a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders; and 
  • Perform other duties as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 7 years of senior management experience; 
  • Excellent organizational management skills including the ability to manage a large staff and budget; 
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team; 
  • Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to strategic planning and program development; and 
  • Commitment to electing Democrats and protecting the House majority.
