Organizing Corps 2020 is an unprecedented, multi-million dollar investment by the DNC and its partners -- 7 state parties, 270 Strategies and The Collective PAC -- to recruit, pay, and train 1000 young people to work on the 2020 presidential cycle, starting this year.
-- With a particular focus on mentoring students from communities of color, the program will ensure the eventual Democratic nominee has the support of homegrown field organizers ready to hit the ground in key states. The program will ensure the eventual Democratic nominee has the support of homegrown field organizers in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The program builds on state party organizing and ongoing DNC investments in all 50 states that led to historic Democratic victories in the midterm election.
We completed programming with our first 300 corps members earlier this month and are now growing our team in preparation for our winter and spring trainings. Both roles are from September 2019 through June/July 2020 (when we finish deploying all of corps members!) and are great for experienced field operatives who are eager to grow professionally as leaders of program, strategy and people, and excited to contribute their talents to a 2020 victory, but not quite ready to drive to Iowa and New Hampshire.
- Senior State Program Director -- Lead a portfolio of state programming and serve as Chief of Staff to our CPO to keep the program and training trains on track across the OC2020, DNC, State Party and partner teams.
- Florida State Program Manager -- Oversee 4-6 coaches and 200-300 corps members across Florida. Work directly with the Florida Democratic Party and local DECs to build the talent infrastructure needed to win up and down the ticket.
