Finance Assistant
Nancy Goroff for Congress is seeking a full-time Finance Assistant to join a dynamic and growing team in one of the top House challenger races of the 2020 cycle. Nancy is already one of the top fundraisers of the cycle and still has a lot of room to build.
Responsibilities:
● Manage candidate call time program, including identifying calls, staffing call time, taking notes, conducting follow up as appropriate, and tracking relevant data
● Prospect potential donors and work to identify new networks of supporters
● Assist with the management of candidate correspondences, pledge follow-ups, and thank you notes
● Assist with the management of campaign's NGP database
● Staff candidate for fundraising events and donor meetings
Qualifications:
● A 'finance mindset'
● Excellent writing and communications skills
● Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
● Ability to upwardly manage a principle and provide direct feedback
● Team player who is willing to step up wherever needed to get the job done
● Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Excel
● Previous campaign finance experience (including internships) preferred but not required
● Working knowledge of NGP 8 and ActBlue preferred
About the Candidate: Nancy has lived in Stony Brook, NY, for over two decades, raising her daughters here and teaching at Stony Brook University. At the university, she has served as Associate Provost, Interim Dean of the Graduate School, and most recently Chair of the Chemistry Department. If elected, she would be the first female science Ph.D. to serve in Congress.
