[jobsthatareLEFT by GAIN] (Will County, IL) County Executive race seeks qualified campaign manager.

Top-tier primary County Executive race seeks qualified campaign manager. Primary responsibilities include developing and updating the candidate's strategic plan for the campaign, executing it, and holding all members of the organization accountable.  This position requires an applicant comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and ready and willing to solve unforeseen challenges with speed and efficiency. Strong interpersonal skills are a must and a willingness to work collaboratively with supporters, staff, volunteers and community members to motivate everyone to accomplish primary objectives is required.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with the consulting team, the candidate, and advisors to coordinate the campaign strategy and implement the campaign plan;

  • Manage relationships with campaign staff, consultant team, advisers, and local leaders.

  • Administer the campaign budget accounting.

  • Oversee and ensure successful execution of local earned media strategy.

  • Manage candidate's daily schedule, including helping to manage candidate's schedule, events, and call time;

  • Draft and send campaign communications including press releases;

  • Execute all necessary aspects of finance plan.

  • Coordinate directly and effectively with the local party officials.

  • Ensure accountability of staff, programs and activities by developing, setting, and implementing performance milestones, and ensuring these milestones are met

  • Any and all other aspects of managing a winning campaign

Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have one-two cycle of experience working on a political campaign with staff management experience a must. 

  • Familiarity with NGP VAN software is a must.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively, work well with others, work well under pressure, be detail

  • and goal oriented.

  • Knowledge of local unions and their issues is preferred.

  • Ability to conduct training sessions.

  • Must be willing to travel within their region and must have a valid driver's license, auto

  • Insurance and a vehicle in good working condition
