A progressive candidate in the Queens Borough President (NYC) special election is seeking Field Organizers to help execute the campaign field plan. These positions will be responsible for managing a campaign field office with full responsibility for the success of the campaign field plan within their area and will report directly to the campaign Field Director. These positions are for immediate hire.
Key candidate skills:
- Experience managing and motivating volunteers and campaign interns/fellows
- Enthusiastic about progressive politics, particularly climate change advocacy
- Attention to detail and an ability to work independently towards success under the intense time pressure that is a three-month long special election campaign
- Grace and enthusiasm under pressure
- A keen understanding of the importance of good data
Relevant Notes:
- While candidates with past field experience will be given priority for hiring, strong candidates looking for a first job in politics will be considered
- Like most field positions, hours will include many nights and weekends
- A car is helpful but not required for this position
- Queens is the most diverse big County in America and we are looking to build a campaign team to match. Women, People of Color, LGBTQIA individuals, young people, and other historically disenfranchised populations are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Because these positions will conclude before the heart of the 2020 campaign season, the right candidate can use them as a springboard into greater opportunities in the Nov. 2020 general election.
Salary is competitive.
