Position Title: Leadership Program Coordinator 

Reports to: Radical Hope Director

Location: Preferred South Florida 

Position Type: Full Time

Start date: ASAP (negotiable)

Compensation: $48k - $50k commensurate with experience,  generous benefits package and Travel Stipend.

A new initiative, Radical Hope Florida, will sharpen the feminist lens of existing racial, economic, and gender justice organizations, transforming the values and politics of Florida. It aims to shift the balance of power from a defensive posture to a proactive stance of visionary governance for all. 


While housed at the Florida Immigrant Coalition, the Radical Hope Florida initiative is lead by women leaders from Central Florida Jobs with Justice, Dream Defenders, Faith in Florida, Fanm Ayisyen nan Miyami/Haitian Women of Miami (FANM), Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, Miami Workers Center, New Florida Majority and Organize Florida, among others.


Position

Radical Hope Florida is hiring for a Program Coordinator that is passionate about Florida, radicalizing womxn and moves from compassion for the community. The Program Coordinator role will require strong event planning and visioning. The ideal Program Coordinator will excel at managing multiple projects at once and be skilled in leadership development, facilitating personal transformation and relationship building. We are looking for someone with an understanding of anti-blackness and justice with a global analysis. 



Core Responsibilities

Radical Hope Gatherings and Events Coordination 


  • Oversee the coordination of small intimate gatherings for groups of 10, to larger gathering with up to 1,500 participants. 

  • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues.

  • Attentive to the value of staying under budget while planning gathering specifications.

  • Issuing invoices and collecting payments in a timely manner, and creating comprehensive and readable financial reports.

  • Oversee interns and and even volunteers with a grateful attitude and clear expectations.

  • Manage the registration process for all gatherings

  • Scout and correspond with guest speakers, lecturers and facilitators.

  • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors, and managing take-down.

  • Communicating with marketing team to create effective advertisements for each event.

  • Anticipating and planning for possible different scenarios.

  • Strong communication skills, and willingness to collaborate with the rest of the team around even ideas. 

Coordinate Radical Hope's Leadership Development 

  • Work with the Radical Hope Director to  set annual femmeship engagement goals and ensure the program  achieves monthly engagement deliverables

  • Lead in marketing to femmeship opportunity to students, teachers, artists, organizers, etc throughout the state of Florida.

  • Manage application femmeship application process, including tracking candidates and coordinating screening processes.  

  • Manage website content and updates for femmeship

  • Coordinate political education for program, scheduling webinar guests and sharing needed materials

  • Support in tracking Femmetors development 

  • Provide as a liaison and support to partner organizations on behalf of co-femmes



Management & Admin 

  • Provide executive assistant support to Program Director such as calendaring, written correspondences on behalf of leadership to internal and external contacts. 

  • Logistical coordination and attendance of meetings (take notes and synthesize meeting data into coherent written meeting minutes. This includes AV / Technology support such as ZOOM

  • Participate as a member of the overall staff team. Participate in staff meetings, on staff subcommittees and in Radical Hope programs and events.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing needs, problem-solve, and manage contention under pressure

  • Deep enthusiasm for and commitment to Womxn's leadership & Florida's Political Potential

  • Experience implementing justice, equity, and anti-oppression practices

  • Willing to travel throughout the state

  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, and problem-solving

  • Can maintain confidentiality and professionalism

  • Self-starter who enjoys experimentation


Nice to have, but not necessary:

  • Experience with hiring and admissions

  • Experience in administrative work

  • Event Planning 

  • Fellowship Management

  • Bi-lingual in creole or spanish
