Organizers are the heart of our Nevada efforts. The primary responsibility of our organizers is to recruit, retain, and supervise teams of volunteers to meet specific organizing goals for an assigned organizing turf. These goals may include phone calls, doors knocked, event attendees, recruitment of volunteers and volunteer leadership positions, and others.
Responsibilities:
Physical Demands. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This includes high output, talking, driving, and working with other people. This job requires the use of cell phones, computers, and other technology.
Position Type and Classification. Full-time, Exempt. Our organizers are in the Teamsters Union.
Travel. 50% or more of time worked will require travel (beyond the assigned city or town home turf) and a car is required to be considered for the position.
Reports To Regional Organizing Director
Compensation and Benefits. Full-time, competitive salary including benefits such as 100%-employer-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for all staff, spouses/domestic partners, and their children; employer-paid premiums for life insurance for all staff; 20 accrued paid days off each year; 12 weeks of paid parental leave, and 12 days accrued paid sick leave.

- Recruit volunteers by reaching out to people online, in-person, and over the phone, and look for creative ways to bring folks into our Team Nevada Cory 2020 community
- Identify and recruit volunteers directly through door-to-door canvassing, phone calls, texting and other creative channels
- Utilize digital tactics to engage supporters and volunteers in online activities
- Build, train, and manage volunteer teams in communities across the assigned turf
- Foster and maintain local political relationships by thoughtfully engaging communities and representing the campaign at local events
- Work within a metrics-driven environment to meet goals for volunteer recruitment, voter contact, digital amplification goals, and other established goals.
