A Texas state legislative campaign seeks to hire a campaign coordinator through March 6, 2020. The campaign coordinator is responsible for helping with fundraising, building capacity, coordinating volunteers, and working with outside consultants. This position opens in January 2020.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR

 

·       Work with the candidate, volunteers and consultants to run a strong primary campaign

·       Manage and oversee campaign volunteers

·       Work with consultants to implement a voter contact and paid communications program

·       Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of social media and marketing campaigns

·       Assist with campaign fundraising and budgeting

·       Manage day-to-day goals and metrics for fundraising

·       Help build and expand the campaign's email and fundraising lists

·       Help manage the candidate's priorities and scheduling

·       Keep the candidate on track, by organizing lists, managing call sheets, and staffing the candidate during call time and canvassing

·       Schedule any press interviews and coordinate travel to/from events

·       Oversee campaign communications and earned media

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED TO BRING

 

·       Candidates should have at least one election cycle of experience working on a campaign and a strong working knowledge of electoral politics

·       Must be detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills

·       Motivated self-starter who has the ability to work independently

·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

·       Working knowledge of a variety of social media, email and office programs, including Excel, and the ability to work with data sets

·       Ability to work long hours holidays and weekends

·       A strong interest in and commitment to progressive politics

Salary Range: $2,000-$3,000 per month, based on experience. Salary will be prorated due to the temporary nature of the position.
