Deputy Field Director
The NC House Democrats are looking for a talented individual to join the 2020 campaign team as the Deputy Field Director to help us win a Democratic Majority in the North Carolina House of Representatives. The position will start in early 2020 and run through the 2020 election. It will be based in Raleigh, and reports directly to the House Caucus Field Director.
Responsibilities
The Deputy Field Director will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of an assigned State House campaign through November 30th, 2020.
Potential duties include:
Work directly with Legislative candidates and campaign staff on a day to day basis
Help candidates and staff draft and implement campaign plans in each district
Serve as the direct point of contact for multiple House campaigns
Ensure campaign staff are performing at a high level, help train campaign staff in field operations
Work with a consultant team
Oversee timely and accurate reporting of quantitative and qualitative data from campaigns
Motivate and hold staff accountable to goals while creating a positive work environment
Requirements
High Attention to Detail
Commitment to winning a Democratic majority in the North Carolina State House
Independent problem solving abilities
Proficiency with VAN / Votebuilder
Strong time management skills
Team player
Strong emotional intelligence and an ability to develop talent
Ability to work a demanding campaign schedule through 2020
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
This position will require extensive hours, and applicants should expect to work a typical campaign schedule through the election.
Salary and Benefits
This is a salaried position starting at $4,000/mo. Additionally, the NC House Dems offer health insurance and competitive benefits.
