House Majority PAC Research Director Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Research Director will work closely with House Majority PAC's Independent Expenditure (IE) leadership team to assess the committee's research needs and execute a plan to fulfill them. This position reports to the Independent Expenditure (IE) Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess, manage, and execute House Majority PAC's research needs
- Hire and manage multiple Research Desks who maintain self and opposition research while working with the political and consultant teams.
- Work with allied organizations to ensure research needs are met
- Track assigned races on a daily basis
- Condense research books into concise memos
- Vet and create research memos on candidates and prospective candidates
- Review House Majority PAC communications in districts, including television, digital, and mail advertising
- Create side-by-side and backup documentation for House Majority PAC communications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES DESIRED:
- BA/BS degree
- Minimum 4 years experience in the research field
- Experience with independent expenditure ad backup
- Experience working in the U.S. House of Representatives or on House campaigns
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of wide-ranging responsibilities; ability to work independently and proactively
- Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible and adaptable as needs and priorities change; experience managing to multiple deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Solid verbal, written, research, and interpersonal skills
- Sense of humor, ability to have fun, and an interest in working within a high-performing team environment
LOCATION: Washington, DC
START DATE: TBD
TRAVEL: Little to no travel will be required
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
