A progressive frontrunner for the upcoming Queens Borough President seeks to hire a field director to start as immediately as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for any individual with field experience to organize a constituency of over 2.3 million people; Queens is more populous than fifteen states and would be the fourth most populous city if independent of New York.
This is a special election, so this job requires unique flexibility. We would strongly prefer it if the chosen candidate could start right away to put the campaign in the best position to be fully prepared to kick off at the beginning of January. The election is projected to take place in either February or March.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- At least two (2) cycles of field experience, either as a paid organizer or field director;
- Ability to immediately relocate to Queens or a nearby borough/county;
- Experience building comprehensive field plans and managing field organizers or volunteers;
- Proficiency in VAN;
- And a strong sense of humor.
