SUMMARY

GQR's digital practice is building a war room comprised of top-tier digital researchers and strategists focused on combating digital disinformation, protecting elections, and supporting progressive candidates across the country in 2020.  We are seeking to hire a Project Coordinator who can work directly with our VP for Digital Strategies to help administer the entire project and manage our team of Digital researchers. We are currently only screening for applicants available to start immediately.

This is a very large and far-reaching project, which presents diverse analytical and management challenges. It will involve over a dozen direct staff, and coordination with dozens more from other organizations. It will require liaison with over three dozen outside organizations, spanning the progressive political landscape. Analysts in this project will be conducting groundbreaking work to identify bots and trolls, combat harmful narratives, expose bad online actors, and block toxic social media activity. The person who fills this position has the potential to make an enormous contribution to the outcome of the 2020 election, at all levels. If you are a digital native with strong management skills who cares about changing our country's direction, please apply NOW!

The ideal candidate will be politically engaged, will have a strong grounding in diverse digital platforms and their impact on political outcomes, and will have serious experience managing professional staff and complex projects under demanding conditions. The candidate must be able and prepared to provide constant and direct staff support to the VP for Digital Strategies, and to the full team of analysts. Experience working in political campaigns is required. Proficiency with writing, editing, scheduling, financial oversight, and other tools for project coordination are all required. Direct experience with issues related to social media, digital organizing, or online disinformation are all a big plus, but candidates who can simply demonstrate a strong interest in these topics are also encouraged to apply.

GQR is committed to building a diverse team and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will be considered for employment regardless of race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status.

This position is project-based and will run through the November 2020 election based in Washington D.C.  Project-based employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as accrued vacation, sick, and personal time starting on your first day.
