Bernie 2020 is seeking a motivated, dynamic Canvassers to join our Nevada team. Our campaign has an ambitious goal: to build the largest national grassroots operation in campaign history. This will require empowering volunteers, activist leaders, and supporters to organize their communities to take on Trump and the billionaire class at an unprecedented scale.
Paid Canvassers will primarily be responsible for direct voter contact in their designated regions through door-knocking. We encourage you to apply for this position if you are passionate about being a part of a powerful movement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Door-knocking to identify supporters and persuade voters
- Use digital tools to support organizing on the ground and track progress
- This role will involve daily driving
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask, achieve goals, meet deadlines and creatively solve problems
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt
- Ability to take feedback and implement changes in real time
- Good listening skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work 6-day work week during nights and weekends
- Willingness to canvass in inclement weather, evening hours and urban environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- A working car that you can use on the campaign
- Experience working or volunteering on electoral, union, or community organizing campaigns
Supervisory Duties
None
Compensation: $15.00/hr up to 40 hrs/week
