CAMPAIGN MANAGER
New York State state legislative campaign in Capital District New York State!
Campaign Manager wanted for progressive candidate, backed by progressive groups, challenging right-wing Republican incumbent for NYS legislature in Capital District New York. The position will start as soon as CM is available through the June 23, 2020 Democratic Primary Election, with the possibly of extension through the November General Election. The candidate is progressive, energetic, high-profile, movement-embedded and active in their community.
Ideal CM candidate is experienced, organized, energetic, and hardworking, and has knowledge of field operations, fundraising, and digital organizing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Field, Finance, and Communications efforts.
• Working with campaign team to execute campaign strategy.
• Organizing and launching voter contact events and providing field support.
• Recruiting, managing and training volunteers and fellows.
• Volunteer Recruitment and volunteer training and leadership.
• Draft press and media content.
• Writing, sending and posting digital content.
• Coordinating campaign events such as house parties, fundraisers and press focused events.
• Ability to handle variety of logistical challenges.
• Communicating with colleagues, voters and the public in a courteous manner.
• Maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment at all times. There will be zero tolerance for harassment of any kind.
Qualifications:
• At least one cycle of campaign experience necessary
• Expert multi-tasker
• Strong leadership and delegation skills
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to work long hours
• Experience with campaign software
• VoteBuilder/VAN experience
