About the DCCC:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U.S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. Position Summary:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is hiring a Digital Analytics Manager for the Committee's Independent Expenditure Unit (IE). The person in this role will be responsible for identifying, processing and analyzing the full scope of digital advertising data to present recommendations that will help inform future creative, targeting decisions, and media buying by the digital department. This position will play a huge role in helping the digital advertising department ensure they have a best-in-class digital analytics and optimization program. Separately, this person will also focus on identifying fake news and disinformation through the DCCC's Amobee Brand Intelligence platform & report findings to the digital department.
Responsibilities Include:
Digital Advertising
• Identify and recommend leading edge data analytics techniques and measurement solutions to better demonstrate value and effectiveness of digital campaigns and achieve strategy goals.
• Collect, compile, and prepare digital analytics reports to help the department develop and understand KPIs and other thresholds for success.
Fake News & Disinformation
• Leverage Amobee's Insights platform Brand Intelligence to provide valuable insights that are used for strategy, planning, and digital paid media activation.
• Conduct online monitoring and analysis of sites and communities that develop or amplify problematic information.
• Develop and execute a monitoring plan for tracking and categorizing examples of problematic content and provide regular analytical briefs on key topics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• BA/BS
• 3+ years of experience in analytics, testing, and digital operations
• Experience working large quantitative data sets and dealing with messy data. Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience communicating with diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce, and bringing a sensitivity and appreciation of cultural differences.
• Basic knowledge in the problem of disinformation—the actors, their ideologies, and their tactics—and the ability to write about it clearly and concisely on short deadlines.
• A passion for Democratic causes and candidates.
• Past experience in digital advertising
• MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• MBA or graduate degree
• Previous experience in political campaigns or political organization groups, such as PACs/c4s or nonprofit.
• Proactive and solutions-oriented
• Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to try different things with minimal direction
• Deep expertise in the problem of disinformation—the actors, their ideologies, and their tactics—and the ability to write about it clearly and concisely on short deadlines.
