Background:
The only candidate for NY-24 originally from rural Central New York, Roger is a proud graduate of CNY public schools and the United States Naval Academy. In uniform, he served as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault, chief speechwriter for the first black woman to hold the rank of four-star, and a defense assistant in the House of Representatives. He deployed twice to the Middle East, flying off aircraft carriers. Since returning home, Roger has volunteered as a veterans community organizer, worked with entrepreneurs and veteran-owned small businesses to create jobs and grow our local economy, and knocked doors across the district to support local candidates and causes. Roger and his wife Christy are raising their two young children in Central New York - he'll work hard every day to build a better future for them and to represent ALL of us in Congress.
