Team Lead
The Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to amplify
the power of immigrant communities to impact the root causes of inequality, defending and
protecting basic human rights, including the right to live without fear.
Job Description Help expand Florida's voting base as we gear up for the 2019 election cycle. The Florida Immigrant Coalition is hiring motivated individuals for a paid voter registration operation in Seminole County. Team Leads will execute and meet the benchmarks set by the overall voter registration program. Team Leads will coordinate with the Team Leads on identifying events and activities for voter registration.
This is a temporary position. Canvassers will work five days a week: 5 hours a day on weekdays and weekends, under the immediate supervision of the Team Leads.
Position period: January 1st, 2020 to May 8th, 2020 (depending on county)
Hours: 40 Hours per week depending on County (Will require a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings)
Location: Seminole County

Detail of Responsibilities
Meet daily, weekly and monthly VR benchmarks
Identify events, actions and other activities for site-based VR
Work above mentioned schedule
Fill out accurate daily reports
Work well in a team-setting
Organizing to recruit people for FLIC membership
Recruit Volunteer canvassers
Qualifications and Experience
A commitment to the immigrant rights movement and the overall social justice movement in Florida
An understanding of voter registration programs and at least 1 year's experience in labor, political, or community organizing and political campaigns.
Preferred bilingual or trilingual [Spanish & Creole]
Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality
Be goal-oriented, punctual, organized and with a positive attitude
Have access to a personal cell phone for job duration
Comply with FLIC policies: attendance, equipment, payment, dress code
