NY-24 Field Organizer
The Race
Dana Balter is an educator and organizer running to represent New York's 24th district in Congress. This is one of Democrats' best opportunities to flip a seat from red to blue in 2020 and expand our majority. The district is in upstate New York and the largest city is Syracuse. Dana is a progressive candidate who would be the first woman to represent the district in Congress. Dana has been endorsed by EMILY's List, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, Democracy for America, and the Congressional Progressive Caucus who are all targeting this as a top-priority race in 2020. Dana ran a strong grassroots campaign as the Democratic nominee in 2018, closing a 20 point gap and now just needs to move 2.5 points to flip the seat this November.
