The Elizabeth Warren campaign is looking for a Regional IT Manager to manage day-to-day operations of the technology used in our state HQs and field offices.

This position will be based in the campaign HQ in Boston, but will involve frequent travel to field offices as needed.

 In this position you will: 

  • Lead day-to-day technology operations for all state offices and employees within your region, including end user support, reporting directly to the National IT Manager
  • Manage operational security, including: 
    • Work with National Security Manager in Developing data security policies and enforcing them to ensure 100% compliance
    • Keeping current with the latest cyber threats & remediations
    • Managing patch management systems and processes which ensure your region's campaign devices and software are running with latest security updates
    • Designing access control systems that provide employees in your region access to systems on an as-needed basis, and revoke access when no longer required
    • Performing ongoing staff training regarding data security practices
  • Manage growing, regional IT program, including: 
    • Collaborating with State Operations Directors to maintain scalable and secure technology solutions for field offices in your region
    • Managing hardware inventory, new system configuration and rollout, and ongoing hardware inventory audits
  • Maintain a proactive monitoring strategy, auditing network and device usage to analyze trends and proactively address issues
  • Support the needs of specialized teams, working closely with Operations, Data, Tech, and Mobilization departments (Note: this role will not be responsible for NGP VAN administration.) 
  • Work with campaign leadership to build out the IT infrastructure for new offices and relocate existing offices as needed
  • Other special projects and duties as directed by the National IT Manager

Top things we're looking for: 

  • Several years experience configuring and managing SaaS platforms, including G Suite
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, on-call environment. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work long hours, including being on-call during nights and weekends as needed, in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commitment to Democratic politics and ideals and enthusiasm for electing Elizabeth Warren
  • Experience with IT budgets, inventory management, and device procurement
  • Experience managing a help desk assisting end users with hardware and software requests
  • Experience with network administration across multiple office sites, as well as implementing network / server / endpoint monitoring 
  • Experience with managing operational security: enforcing 2 factor authentication, developing technology security policy + frameworks, keeping current with latest cyber threats + remediations
  • Passionate about providing exceptional service to all employees while resolving IT issues
  • Willingness to travel frequently and for extended periods during critical periods of state activity

Not required but a plus if you have: 

  • Experience overseeing a team of IT professionals
  • Experience with office relocations and new office build outs
  • Experience with Meraki firewalls and access points 
  • Experience working or volunteering in a political campaign a plus
  • Experience with MDM solutions
