About Us

STG is a full service political, digital, and public affairs consulting firm. Our team of experienced professionals has waged and won dozens of high-profile, high stakes campaigns for candidates, coalitions and causes – and we do the same thing for our clients. We are good people doing good things and we are looking for a Director-level hire to join our growing team.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • You will be an integral leader on multiple campaign teams, providing direction and mentoring to a team of communicators, content creators, and digital strategists
  • You will manage client projects to deliver exceptional service and results
  • You will provide valuable insights to clients, translating client goals and strategic objectives into actionable and measurable communications tactics, digital engagement, and/or stakeholder outreach
  • You will pitch and present your ideas on strategy, content creation, and tactics to amplify client messaging across traditional media channels and digital platforms
  • You will be a member of the management team where you will contribute to the firm's business development and professional growth

You might be a great fit if you have most of these…

  • You are passionate about progressive causes including (but not limited to) energy and the environment, public lands, health care, and social justice
  • You bring insights and expertise developed from experience working on an electoral campaign, for an elected representative on Capitol Hill, a federal or state-level executive administration, public affairs or digital strategy firm, advocacy organization, or related industry
  • You have five to seven years of professional experience that reflects an increase in team management responsibilities and leadership capacity
  • You've directly managed both people and projects and handled quality control of external-facing materials
  • You possess a keen understanding of the evolving media landscape and you've built integrated campaign plans that include a mix of earned media, owned media, digital engagement and advertising.
  • You demonstrate flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity in a fast-paced work environment
  • You have exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • You have strong self-discipline and time management skills
  • You are kind, friendly, and don't take yourself too seriously

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Health care coverage
  • Employer-contributed retirement plans
  • Dental, transportation, and cell phone plan benefits
  • On-site gym facility
  • Snacks, snacks, and snacks
  • Office dogs
  • A fantastic office right by Farragut Square — convenient for the red, orange, and blue lines

We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
