Health Care Bus Tour Event Manager

Purpose: Health Care Voter Bus Tour
Position Summary
Health Care Voter is hiring a Bus Tour Events Manager for the Health Care Voter national tour. This is a temporary position that will run from 2/10 - 5/08. The Health Care Bus tour will kick off on March 30th in San Francisco, CA and wrap up in Washington, DC on April 28th. It will stop in 18 states. The Events Manager will be responsible for coordinating events on the ground at each stop. This will entail outreach to local organizations and organizers, coordination and lead of state-wide planning calls and weekly check-ins with each location as event planning progresses. They will serve as the main conduit to local organizers pushing through communications and digital materials, working with organizers on the speaking program and communicating logistical plans to the Tour Director and Tour Manager.
As an Event Coordinator you'll:
Research progressive organizations in designated tour stops
Outreach to existing health care voter partners and organizers
Brainstorm strategy, tactics, and event styles, alternating between press conferences, rallies, panel discussions and lectures
Identify local speakers for events
Prep organizers and speakers on talking points
Perform other duties as assigned
About you:
You have exceptional interpersonal and organizing skills
You have experience in event production
You're outgoing and can easily *reach out* to new organizations and individuals
You have a sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and an openness to evolving responsibilities
You're organized, detail-oriented, and analytical
You have prior experience working on a campaign or at an advocacy organization
You have experience working collaboratively in a team environment
A plus - experience managing vendor and consultant relationships
