Bangor Canvass Director
Maine People's Alliance (MPA) is Maine's largest community action group with 32,000 members across Maine. Since 1982, we have engaged everyday Mainers in campaigns for social, economic, environmental and racial justice.
MPA is currently accepting inquiries for a Canvass Director based in our Bangor office.
The Bangor Canvass Director will be responsible for recruiting, hiring and managing a team of 10 - 30 door-to-door canvass staff who will engage in fundraising, member recruitment, voter contact work, voter registration, earned media and other campaign activities.
A qualified applicant should possess:
- A strong commitment to MPA's mission of achieving social, economic, environmental and racial justice
- Strong communication skills
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Ability to multi-task in a challenging fast-paced work environment
- Fundraising experience
- Previous canvass experience
The position is a full time position with a salary range beginning at $32,000 and commensurate with experience. Applicants should own (or have access to) their own vehicle (travel is reimbursed).
