Jaime Harrison for Senate is seeking a Digital Organizer for the 2020 campaign cycle. As part of the campaign's digital team, this person will work closely with the political and field teams to build out our digital organizing program. Digital organizing is still a new field, so direct experience is less important than creativity, hustle, big ideas and experimentation. Salary commensurate with experience.
Reports to: Digital Director
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Develop and manage the digital organizing program across various channels including Facebook, Twitter, SMS, and email
- Manage a volunteer pipeline that seamlessly moves volunteers from online to offline and back
- Manage digital organizing tools, train and troubleshoot with field organizers
- Cultivate online volunteer communities and execute day-to-day community management
- Execute field events and shift promotion across digital platforms: email, social, SMS, Mobilize, etc.
- Be an integral part of a hardworking digital team, willing to jump in wherever you're needed!
Qualifications:
- Experience with political campaigns or advocacy organizations working in field, digital or distributed organizing.
- Proficiency using digital organizing tools like Mobilize, VAN, and SMS platforms
- Experience developing volunteer pipelines
- A commitment to electing Democrats in South Carolina
- An understanding that working for a political campaign is never a nine-to-five job
