Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Executive Director, reporting to the Bucks County Democratic Committee Chair, is to assist the Chair and Executive Committee in support of the political, fundraising, communications, and administrative operations of the Bucks County Democratic Committee. This individual must have numerous cycles of leadership roles on political campaigns, a sense of professionalism around politically sensitive matters including donor calls and meetings, extensive training, and the ability to multi-task. The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-starter who is flexible in their day-to-day responsibilities while requiring little oversight. The ideal candidate understands Bucks County politics, elected officials, and major local political issues.
The duties of the Executive Director include, but are not limited to:
Cultivate a professional environment where stakeholders are encouraged to invest their time, dollars, and resources toward electing more Democrats to public office in Bucks County
Provide guidance for Democratic committee members regarding the policies, regulations, and laws that govern the activities of the Bucks County Democratic Party
Organize volunteers and supervising interns
Support Party communications efforts on behalf of the Chair and the Bucks County Democrats as directed, interfacing with press as requested
Maintain all social media/website accounts and oversee the development/execution of a social media messaging strategy, including email outreach for fundraising efforts
Serve as administrator for VAN – Votebuilder to county committee members and maintain up-to-date lists of all Committee Members and all elected officials in Bucks County
Advise the Chair and Executive Committee on committee business and political operations
Support the process of identifying, cultivating and soliciting institutional and major gift donors
Develop and execute an annual finance plan with multiple revenue streams to meet budget requirements
Organize various political events
Coordinate with political campaigns in Bucks County

Experience and Qualifications:
BCDC prefers an applicant with at least a Bachelor's degree in political science, public affairs, public administration, or a related field with two or more years of experience working in a Democratic political organization such as a similar political committee or equivalent campaign experience at the campaign manager or field director level.
Experience with conducting political campaigns (including fundraising, field, communications, compliance, and endorsements)
Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience
Familiarity with political data, latest technologies, and best practices in Democratic politics
NGP/VAN proficient
Experience with relationship building with party officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders
Experience identifying and cultivating relationships with donors, volunteers, and candidates. Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Actblue & other email marketing platforms
Excellent written and communications skills 
Willing to be flexible with work hours at important times of the year (petition period, endorsement convention, primary and general election)
Experience working with diverse communities and with grassroots organizations 
Results focused and well organized 
Driver's license and access to a car 

Working Environment:
Bucks County has a population of 630,000 and it has 31 townships, 23 boroughs, 18 census-designated places and five unincorporated communities.  The BCDC is one of the largest grassroots political organizations in the state. The Bucks County Democratic Party won control of the county government for the first time in the last 30+ years, and are looking forward to continuing to build on the momentum to elect and re-elect more democrats in the county.  More information is available at www.Bucksdemocrats.org
This is a full-time position. The Executive Director will be expected to maintain regular business hours in the BCDC office on weekdays. However, BCDC operates in a campaign environment, and the Executive Director often will need to attend meetings and events outside normal business hours and at locations around the county, so some flexibility in schedule is required.
