About the DCCC: 

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing more Democrats and protecting the House majority.


Position Summary: 

The DCCC is hiring 4 Independent Expenditure (IE) Political Coordinators to support the DCCC's Independent Expenditure Program, which operates independently of congressional candidates and campaigns. Political Coordinators will be part of a team of staff, consultants, and leadership tracking and working on multiple congressional races across the country. Primary responsibilities include managing the flow of information by ensuring the team is up to date on the most important issues in each race; consistently updating databases and memos; and ensuring deadlines are met. Each Political Coordinator reports directly to their IE Political Desk. 


Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting the objectives of the IE team;

• Compiling news clips for relevant races;

• Updating political database and internal tracking documents;

• Tracking the progress of research, political, executive and legal sign-off on all products;

• Managing materials, notes, and updates for the Political Desk and consultant teams;

• Providing additional administrative support;

• Other duties as needed.


Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior work experience in politics or on a campaign preferred;

• Experience with polling data, media campaigns, and/or direct mail a plus;

• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously;

• Operates well under pressure;

• Extremely organized both for yourself and others;

• Pays close attention to detail;

• Works well in a team environment;

• Dedicated to electing Democratic Members of Congress.


Salary and Benefits: Annual compensation for this position is $48,000.
