FINANCE DIRECTOR
A US House candidate in Western Michigan challenging an incumbent Republican Congressman who is under a House Ethics investigation is seeking a Finance Director. The candidate is an energetic, inspiring pastor and activist looking to restore integrity to government, seek common ground, and improve the lives of West Michigan residents. Michigan 2nd CD will be a competitive race, and there is no primary challenger.
Responsibilities will include:
Creating and executing a finance plan in conjunction with the campaign manager, with ongoing accountability of achieving the fundraising goals laid out in the finance plan
Oversight of campaign treasurer to keep an up-to-date record of contributions
Coordination with the team on FEC compliance
Leading the efforts to build out a finance committee
Overseeing call-time
Tracking pledges and taking action to turn them into donations
Setting up and managing both fundraising events across the district
Coordinating with the fundraising consultants
Supporting the communications effort to drive fundraising including social media, online store, etc.
Desired Qualification
Must have a minimum of two cycles of campaign experience, with at least one cycle of finance experience
Thorough knowledge of ActBlue and other fundraising tools
Experience with donor research, call time, and fundraising event planning
Must be able to work campaign hours, including nights/weekends and long hours as needed
Experience working with Google Drive
Ability to succeed in the high-stress, fast-paced environment of campaigns
Knowledge/connections to Michigan, West Michigan preferred
Knowledge of ISP preferred
