ABOUT THE FIELD DIRECTOR ROLE
A competitive progressive candidate for New York State legislature in a New York City district is recruiting an experienced, full time Field Director as soon as possible to join the fight for environmental protections, equal rights, good government, public school funding, labor, and so much more. The Field Director will manage our direct voter contact methods, our voter database, and our volunteer recruitment. The Field Director will report to the Campaign Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute the field plan;
Manage a team of Field Organizers;
Ensure data is collected and entered properly;
Expand the volunteer base;
Create and manage volunteer events;
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years work in political, advocacy and/or campaign operations;
Exceptional people skills and patience;
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously under strict deadlines;
A team player mentality, but also a self-starter who can work independently;
Ability to manage people;
Ability to work a standard campaign schedule (long, sometimes irregular hours);
Familiarity with VAN; and
Proficiency in another language a plus but not necessary.

COMPENSATION
