Position: Mobilization Director for Elaine Luria for Congress' Campaign in Virginia's 2nd Congressional District, based out of Virginia Beach.
About the DCCC: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including voter targeting, field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, research support, and management consulting. In addition, the DCCC's Independent Expenditure supports these campaigns with television, radio, and other voter contact efforts. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working campaign professionals who are committed to electing more Democrats and taking back the House majority.
Position Summary: The DCCC is hiring Campaign Mobilization Directors for the 2020 cycle. This position reports to the Campaign Field Director. The Mobilization Director will write digital voter contact scripts, design digital organizing programs and manage corresponding data, work with the field director on sequencing flow, trouble-shoot digital platforms with organizers and volunteers, and operationalize the campaign dialer as well as any additional virtual organizing platforms. Must be a self-starter and strongly motivated to elect Democrats to the House of Congress.
Skills and Qualifications:
· At least 1 full election cycle of digital and/or organizing experience
· Strong grasp of political organizing tools and tactics
· Experience recruiting, training and managing volunteers
· Experience managing texting, digital, or data programs on electoral campaigns is a plus
· Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
· Strong attention to detail and writing skills
· Must be a strong collaborator and ability to work in groups
