Senior Digital Strategist

What the role entails: We are looking for an experienced digital media strategist who can act as the main point of contact for ballot initiative, candidate, and issue advocacy campaigns. Day-to-day work includes project coordination and planning, client communications, media planning, creative brainstorming, budget tracking, assistance crafting proposals, and more.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with the following experience and qualifications:
3+ years managing ad campaigns on digital advertising platforms such as: Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, TheTradeDesk (or similar DSP)
Experience working at a digital media agency for issue advocacy or political campaigns AND/OR digital director on the campaign-side
Client communications experience, particularly with high-level funders, consultants, campaign managers, etc.
Expertise in analyzing and strategizing on campaign plans, metrics, and implementing optimizations to ensure goals are reached
Experience at generating and interpreting/analyzing/presenting comprehensive data reports
Proficiency with CRM, CMS, and DMP platforms tools, including EveryAction, WordPress, Squarespace, LiveRamp, TargetSmart, etc.
Experience managing email fundraising and marketing campaigns, including segmenting, deploying, automating, A/B testing and reporting on campaigns in EveryAction, MailChimp, SalesForce, etc.
Experience managing SMS marketing campaigns through Hustle, Phone2Action, etc.
Experience managing social media content calendars across multiple projects
Experience with setting up and managing fundraising campaigns through ActBlue
Extensive knowledge of SEO/SEM strategy, and experience with tools like Google Search Console
Understanding of creative, technical and legal specifications for various ad types/platforms
Creating and installing website tracking pixels and optimization tools, including: Google Tag Manager, Floodlight, and Crazy Egg
Researching new digital media platforms and innovations
Troubleshooting and maintenance on websites and platforms
Position Details
This will be a full-time, exempt position. Starting salary range is $55,000 - $65,518. Winning Mark offers a robust benefits package including health, dental, wellness allotment, TriMet reimbursement, a fully stocked kitchen, staff meals, holiday pay, PTO, and cell phone bill payment. Experience working in a fast-paced, campaign atmosphere is a plus, and a commitment to periodically working long and irregular hours (including evenings and weekends) is a must. The ability to work well within this system, including as a good steward of a flexible work environment, is essential.
**Our office is located in Portland, but we work with campaigns across the country. We are not opposed to hiring a candidate who can permanently work remotely from outside of Oregon.**
This position is Limited Duration through the 2020 Election Cycle (November 2020). At that time the position may be extended based on performance and need.
