Election Day: Primary, August 4, 2020
Want to be part of a campaign that will be the most highly-targeted state-level race in Michigan in 2020? This candidate has raised more than any Democratic or Republican candidate in our district this cycle. We're in a position to win this seat, and by doing so, flip the MI State House. We're looking to hire an experienced field director to oversee and execute our field plan for the primary.
CAMPAIGN FACTS:
Highly organized campaign team with over 12 core team members.
Candidate has the ability to fundraise not only in-district, but throughout the state and D.C. area as well.
Candidate is the only millennial and LGBTQ+ candidate in the race.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Field Director will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
● Developing, updating and executing the campaign field plan
● Leading the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers
● Performing and facilitating direct voter contact
● Entering and maintaining data as needed
● Working with the Campaign Manager to meet deadlines and exceed goals
● Assist in the preparation and execution of voter contact efforts, including but not limited to:
phone banks, postcard writing gatherings, and text messaging programs
● Coordinating with the Communications Director to promote field efforts as needed
● Helping with all other aspects of the campaign as necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
● Previous experience organizing canvasses or phone banking volunteer experience highly preferred
● Knowledge on how to utilize Votebuilder/VAN
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Highly organized
● Self-starter and motivated
● Must be willing to be physically present in-district to do work when needed
● Must be willing to work campaign hours, including nights and weekends
● Must have a car, laptop, and phone that can be used for campaign work How to apply:
