Lake Research Partners, a leading Democratic public opinion research and political consulting firm, is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for a full time Finance Manager position in our Walla Walla, WA office (Eastern Washington State). Due to the COVID-19 outbreak it may be necessary for the selected candidate to work remotely for portions of 2020.
The selected Finance Manager will report directly to our Chief Financial Officer at LRP. The ideal candidate will have some accounting and bookkeeping experience and be highly detail-oriented with the proven ability to follow through on assignments.
Lake Research Partners serve as senior advisors to a wide range of advocacy groups, labor unions, non-profits, state and federal government agencies, companies and foundations, as well as numerous elected officials at all levels of the government. The firm is national in scope, with offices in Washington, DC, New York, Washington State and California.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Accounts Receivables/Payables
· General Ledger Transactions
· QuickBooks Enterprise
· Windows Based Programs
· Excel Spreadsheets
· Reconciliations: Credit Cards
Applicants Must:
- Be organized, diligent and responsible and able juggle a range of different tasks simultaneously
- Exhibit a high level of attention to detail
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well under tight deadlines
- Be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
- Show sound judgment and discretion
- Show good customer relationship and follow-up skills
Preferred Skills:
- A level of business acumen
- A background in or understanding of accounting
- Experience in a business office setting
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- A commitment to the progressive movement and to social, economic and racial justice
