The Margaret Good for Congress Campaign is looking for smart and aggressive self starters to engage in grassroots organizing across the district. Field organizers are the core of the direct voter contact team and are responsible for executing a winning campaign strategy. Organizers are responsible for engaging community leaders, building volunteer capacity for voter contact, and mobilizing targeted voters according to weekly and monthly goals as designated by the Field Director. In conjunction with the Field Director, you will have the autonomy to develop community engagement plans within your region.
Term: Immediately through November 2020.
Reports to: Field Director
Responsibilities:
Recruit and train a local volunteer team that will organize their networks around the campaign
Plan and host events within the community
Use digital tools to build on field organizing
Develop relationships and partnerships with local community and student groups
Hit defined field goals, including traditional grassroots voter contact, social media, and event planning and turnout
Meet all data and field reporting deadlines
Recruit and manage a team of interns
Knowledge skills and abilities required:
Weekend and irregular work hours required
Driven by a strong work ethic
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and manage several tasks simultaneously
Previous electoral organizing experience a plus
