About the Christy Smith for Congress Campaign:

About The district: CA-25, located in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, is a top-tier targeted red to blue congressional race. Democrats flipped the seat blue in 2018, but a far-right Trump Republican flipped it back in the May special election, and now, it's time to reclaim the seat. CA-25 will have one of the largest volunteer programs in a swing district in the country, giving us a chance to build up the base in the district while engaging and reengaging strong grassroots organizations from L.A. and across the country.

About Christy Smith: Christy Smith is a Santa Clarita resident, California Assemblywoman, and former School Board member. In 2018, Christy won her election to represent the 38th Assembly District, which encompasses 58% of CA-25, flipping a seat that had been Republican-held since 1978. She's a progressive deeply rooted in the community and committed to high quality public education, ending corruption in Washington, fighting for immigrants' rights, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and civil rights for all, and actualizing healthcare as a human right.

About Our Campaign: We are building a campaign that centers professional development, volunteer training and empowerment, and bolstering long-term infrastructure in the district. We're building a supportive, tight-knit community of staff and volunteers in a district with a strong history of massive grassroots organizing and mobilization and a candidate who believes deeply in the importance of organizing.
