Description

At Break Something, our clients are using digital organizing and marketing to change the world. We are looking to add talented individuals to our team to bring their campaign goals to life. Our ideal candidate is a digital organizer with political, marketing, and election-cycle experience. Someone who has the ability to capture the voice of our diverse clients and their myriad campaigns, is comfortable working within multiple, simultaneous tight deadlines, and is dedicated to helping Democratic candidates and progressive nonprofits achieve success engaging the hearts and minds of their targets and constituents.

This position requires a high degree of organization, time management, motivation, attention to detail, and an ability to pivot toward competing priorities. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and strategic collaboration skills are a must.

Requirements
  • Manage and maintain robust presence on all digital platforms including email, social media and website, producing compelling, timely content.
  • Execute digital campaigns strategies to grow online engagement and drive action.
  • In collaboration with organizing staff, use social media, email, online advertising and other digital tools to develop Vote By Mail, Online Voter Registration and persuasion campaigns.
  • Identify and coordinate with Influencers to distribute our message.
  • Develop strategies aimed at targeting, building and retaining membership segments based on issue, campaign, demographic and other variables to deepen activism and engagement among members with specific interests.
  • Track, understand and apply analytics and metrics to measure effectiveness of tools and strategies.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Committed to Break Something's mission of social, racial, and economic justice.
  • Experience creating high-quality digital content and campaigns to move people to take action.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and prioritization skills: ability to both rapidly respond to day-to-day needs while conceiving and implementing bigger projects over time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good intuition for generating engagement on social media.
  • Fundamental understanding or serious curiosity about electoral and advocacy campaigns.
  • Ability to quickly acquire fluency in tech tools and platforms.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with or skill to balance many clients and priorities.
  • Comfortability taking initiative and working under a sometimes fluid management structure.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to take direction and constructive feedback.
  • Excellent organizational skills including superior attention to detail.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $48k-$60k annually. The position is salaried with competitive benefits including health care, vision, dental, and 401k with a match (after 1 year) and paid time off. The position is guaranteed through November 15th and may be extended into 2021.
