National Field Director Job Description:
The National Field Director's role is to manage all voter contact efforts leading up to November 3rd. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive voter outreach plan through Election Day, coordinating voter registration efforts, reviewing deficiencies in the program and addressing them. The National Field Director needs to be highly organized, energetic, capable of motivating and managing staff and volunteers, and able to manage sizable data. The National Field Director may be in charge of multiple voter outreach programs at once and will need to ensure that all field programs are on a path to meeting or exceeding goals. This position will oversee efforts in Georgia, Florida and Arizona.
Responsibilities:
National Field Director responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ability to write and implement a comprehensive, data-driven field plan for multiple field programs
Build and manage a field leadership team to execute the said field plan
Set, meet and/or exceed benchmarks for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and grassroots engagement
Design and standardize best practices for data management using the campaign's voter file software
Establish a strong professional culture within the field focused on accountability, specific goals, innovation and sense of purpose
Manage the field program budget and logistics in collaboration with the State Director
Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
Qualifications:
2+ cycles of campaign field experience.
Extensive experience in managing and training high performing staffers.
Experience designing, maintaining and improving a goal oriented accountability structure without compromising staff autonomy or innovation.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent deadlines.
Extensive experience with and ability to train on Voter Activation Network (VAN).
Strong communication and organizational skills, showing attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; successful at motivating staff to meet recruitment and voter contact goals.
Proven record of success in setting and achieving goals.
Cultural competency and ability to communicate effectively with people representing diverse interests, styles, and backgrounds.
Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills.
Ability to be flexible and understanding with changes.
Can meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment.
Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Reliable internet, phone, and computer is required to work remotely during work from home periods.
Being able to lift 25 pounds over head without issue
Salary range is $75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience. Benefits include paid leave, sick, vacation, generous health benefits.
