THIS JOB

The Marketing and Administrative Assistant is the person who makes it possible for ACM Strategies to maximize its positive impact in the world. They provide administrative support to the firm's president, and play a key role in shaping ACM Strategies' brand and identity. They're incredibly organized and have an eye for detail. They can confidently balance several projects at once and prioritize so all deadlines are met. 

The Marketing and Administrative Assistant is responsible for:

  • Assisting ACM Strategies' President in developing, managing, and executing firm and client projects.

  • Maintaining ACM Strategies' social media accounts, designing and conducting experiments, and making improvements based on data.

  • Writing and editing blog posts, reports, and emails for ACM Strategies and clients.

  • Assisting ACM Strategies' President in shaping the firm's identity and finding opportunities for growth.

  • Performing administrative tasks including scheduling, tracking expenses, invoicing clients, and responding to emails and messages. 

  • Gathering and organizing data from digital campaigns, including advertising campaigns.

  • Monitoring the news for rapid response opportunities, and coming up with imaginative ways to be part of the conversation.

 This is a full-time position and can be done remotely from anywhere in the United States. We typically work standard 9 AM to 5 PM business hours. We work in multiple time zones, and occasional travel within the U.S. may be required when safe.

We recognize that we're hiring during an unusual time. We're looking to hire someone who is eager to grow with our firm in the years ahead. For the right candidate, we are open to this job beginning as a part-time contract position.

Candidates should be prepared to sign an exclusivity/noncompete agreement.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicant must have:

  • A solid understanding of the progressive movement and a commitment to building a more just and equitable world.

  • The focus to be a self-manager. This is a remote position, so you should be confident in your ability to stay on track.

  • Experience working in a professional setting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills. You should be able to explain complicated ideas in a few paragraphs and be confident in your ability to edit others' work.

  • Experience managing professional social media accounts.

  • Basic graphic design skills, including experience using Canva or the Adobe Suite.

  • Strong research skills and a curiosity and eagerness to learn new things.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience using Action Network and/or Mobile Commons.

  • Experience using QuickBooks, Facebook Business Manager, Facebook ads, and/or Google ads.

  • Experience working with a small team, where responsibilities may change quickly.

  • Experience managing a campaign or organization's social media accounts, and an understanding of social media metrics.

  • Fluency or proficiency in Spanish.

  • An ability to make content updates in WordPress and Wix.

  • Experience using project management software.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this full-time position is $40,000 to $47,000 per year, depending on experience and location. In addition to a healthcare stipend, benefits include a flexible work schedule, an unlimited vacation time policy, paid holidays, and professional development opportunities.
